5 Key Pieces for Autumn/Winter 17

With Autumn/Winter right around the corner, now is the perfect time to think about the key  pieces to invest in for the season. If you want to read more about trends for A/W ‘17 read our guide here, otherwise, read on do discover the five key pieces for the season ahead…

  1. Oversized Coat

If you’re planning on investing in a new coat this year go for an oversized style. Oversize in general was big on the catwalk for the season, but it was coats in particular that had a size update. To fit in with the colour trend opt for camel. A rich wool coat in a large cut will look expensive and stylish, and can work for off-duty as well as workwear.

  1. Roll-neck

It’s all about roll-necks for the winter ahead, which is ideal if the weather is on the cool side. Go for long sleeved in jersey to nail this look. Opt for a thin jersey to layer the look, or a thick material such as wool to wear alone. A thin grey jersey looks great slipped under a suit for a winter update, or a camel wool worn with slim fit jeans.

  1. Silk Shirts

The ‘70s revival continues with silk shirts, in a range of colours and prints. Combine this trend with the camouflage trend by choosing a shirt in moss green. Silk shirts should be worn on the loose side and are great for layering with oversized blazers.

  1. Craftsmanship Detail

We’re paying homage to all things craft this season. One of the oldest crafts is watch making, which were once made by hand by skilled watch makers. Invest in a quality timepiece for A/W ‘17, such as the Swiss Engineered Gold Vanacci Carbon Watch. Featuring 18crt gold and an eye catching design, this watch is an investment piece, built to last for years to come.

  1. Colour Block

Colour block in suits is set to be big, with men spotted on the catwalk wearing three piece suits all in one tone. Combine the roll-neck trend with the colour block trend and try wearing trousers and a blazer paired with a roll neck all in one tone. You could even take things a step further and opt for camel to nail the camel trend too.
