Walleting in 2015

by Ryan Ward January 16, 2015

Hiya,

After a huge delivery of metal pieces, we're back on with the build for our Kickstarter pledges.

One shedload

Brass Brass Brass Brass Brass Brass Aluminium

We've been copper plating brass, avoiding electrocution and plating up about 50 wallets (half of the overall requirement). Once plated, the copper requires a great deal of care, much like a soufflé.

Steel is pretty tough and makes construction a little harder. Fortunately, we have presses, vices and swearing at our disposal. After a few rounds of wrestling and trash talk, steel is subdued.

Our latest production innovation has greatly improved efficiency and morale in the workplace.

After cracking out the Dremel to repurpose a cutting tool, we've sped up our production considerably.

In case you've missed the stunning brass wallet in GT leather, here it is again:

Aside from fulfilling our Kickstarter pledges, we've also got a notification system in place for when our store launches. You can sign up here.

We're keeping our backers updated through Kickstarter as well. If you'd like to have a gander at our production photos and a read of anything else, all the updates can be found here.

In the meantime, feel free to get in touch with any questions or recipe ideas.

Cheers,

Ryan
